Jiro Yoshihara/More Abstract Work/Research References
Towards the end of this semester, I have been first of all looking at the minimalist work of Jiro Yoshihara. Who was arguably most famous for his large circular compositions, with a large painted circular mark in the middle of a large canvas, with contrast in colour and a display of over all balance and harmony. This along with my previous interest in Christopher Wool has prompted me to explore similar techniques and mix them with techniques I have already explored. Below are images of my own simplistic circular compositions, however using spray paint and gestural marks.
